「出雲石巡礼」 ツアーのご案内 　聖地を訪ねる人が増えています。これは一時のブームではありません。日本人は遥か昔からこういった場所を大切にし、信仰心を委ねてきました。そして石の信仰は、その最たるものでしょう。ここ20年 以上に渡り、私は人と関わる石をテーマに撮影の旅をつづけています。石を巡れば巡るほど、石は人間に対しある種の意思を持って存在している、などと思えてくることがしばしばあります。「聖 地」と呼ばれる場所には、必ずと言っていいほど、古より崇められ信仰された石や岩が多く存在します。 60年 ぶりに出雲大社の本殿遷座祭が行われた2013年の秋、私たちは出雲大社のお膝元、真名井地区へ移住することとなりました。これは縁結びの神様である出雲の神々の御神縁の計らいと感じています。この出雲地方には、実に多くの石神・磐座と呼ばれる石の聖地が存在します。そこで、基層文化である出雲の聖なる石を知って頂きたく、「出雲石巡礼」ツアーを企画しました。 　石は沈黙して語りません。一般的に多くの人はそう思っています。しかし、古来日本人は、祝詞（のりと）の中で「言（こと）といし磐根（いわね）、樹根立（きねたち）、草（くさ）の片葉（かきは）をも語止めて。」（ざわざわした森羅万象の岩、樹林、草すべてのものがざわざわするのをやめた）と言いました。また、ゲーテは花崗岩に向かって「時間の最も尊い最古の記念碑よ」と呼びかけ、石が「孤独と沈黙が与える崇高な静けさ」を感じさせると述べています。ネイティブアメリカンたちは、今でも 「人間の心は、奥深いところで、石の力とそこに宿るスピリットに気づいている」と話します。 　「聖なる石」と出会うと、非日常的ともいえる感覚に導かれることがしばしあります。人類誕生のはるか昔から存在する石は、 まさに地球の歴史の結晶であり、無意識の中に畳み込まれた惑星の「記憶」をも呼び覚ましてくれます。石とは、あの世とこの 世をつなぐ回路、アナザー・ワールドを語る唯一の具体物なのかも知れません。 　出雲石巡礼の旅をご一緒しませんか。みなさまのご参加を心よりお待ちしております。

Increasing number of people are visiting sacred places, but is not a momentary trend. Japanese people has been worshiping these places and surrendered since far long time ago. Therefore worshiping stone is the ultimate act. Over 20 years I have been traveling to photograph stones which has close relationship to human. As I visits stones more and more, I often feel and think that stone has its own will towards humans. There are many worshiped stones and rocks found in places where its defined as Sacred Area, one of the place is Izumo. We have moved very close to Izumo Ooyashiro in fall of 2013 during Great Sengu （which occur around every 60 years) in the area called Manai. I planned this tour to let people know of Izumo’s fundamental culture, Sacred Stones. Usually people think that Stones stays silent and doesn’t speak. 　However, Ancient Japanese people said “Stones, Trees and plans became quiet from rustling” in Shinto prayer. And Goethe said toward granite “To the most old in time and holy monument” and stated that the stones makes him feel the sublime solitude from silence and isolation. Native Americans still says that “Human feels and realize the power of the stone and the spirits reside in our deep parts of ourselves.” When you meet Sacred Stone, our senses are often lead to extraordinarily. Stones are circuit from here and another world, and maybe it is the only existed tool.  Lets go on the Izumo Stone Pilgrim together. We look forward to see you.

This tour starts from Izumo Ooyashiro and meet Izumo Rock and maybe chance to meet local people.  With this tour, you cal feel Izumos Nature.  For lunch, Vegitalian meal made by Mr. Gunji’s wife who owns Vegi Cafe Art Gallery Manaina.  This tour includes slide talk and you can almost feel like you traveled around the world.  Maybe he will play a music instrument?!  You will definitely find your favorite power spots!
